| We have gone too far in emphasizing the value and import of the purely rational - of what IQ measures - in human life. For better or for worse, intelligence can come to nothing when the emotions hold sway." It's been ten years since Daniel Goleman wrote those words in his bestseller "Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ". Since then, talent management professionals in particular, have taken heed of the important role EI plays in the well-balanced and productive workplace. The inextricable link between EI and well-being has also become apparent as the pressures of a demanding, competitive workplace require emotional, personal, social and coping skills to manage stress and maintain effective relationships. In this track we will explore Emotional Intelligence - how it can be assessed and developed for the well-being of teams, organizations and individuals and how it contributes to a healthier, more productive workforce. |

Three differentiators of the high performance organization correlate strongly with emotional intelligence-emotionally intelligent talent, the nature of the work they do, and the purpose people see in their work. Selecting emotionally intelligent talent (especially for managerial positions), and designing work to encourage creativity both contribute to talent who aspire to a larger shared purpose. This webcast will cover research findings from thousands of organizations on their talent management practices, and showcase those who leverage emotional intelligence to achieve high performance. If you're responsible for organizational effectiveness or talent leadership, this webcast is for you!

Great leaders inspire us to be at our best and move beyond to achieve break-through performance. Although great leaders talk of strategy and competition, they are in tune with others around them and establish a deep emotional connection called resonance. These leaders' emotional intelligence allows them to create and nurture these resonant relationships. They use their EI as a path to resonant leadership through mindfulness, hope and compassion. Since these are experiences essential to renewal of the human organism at the neurological, hormonal, emotional, and behavioral levels, they are the best antidote to the ravages of chronic stress. This webcast will reveal longitudinal research studies about how coaching with compassion is key to leadership development, and why it is central to your talent's renewal and sustainable improvements.

Why coaching with compassion (vs. coaching for compliance) is effective in helping people sustain change

Enjoyment, engagement, and affiliation enable people in organizations to thrive. What sustains charismatic leaders with optimism, courage and joy to create a talent-driven organization? Does this "soft stuff" make up the hard core of effective leaders? The fields of positive psychology and emotional intelligence have established that leaders who effectively express themselves and relate well to others have an "adversity advantage" because they see opportunities in every challenge, and connect with people's hearts to build shared vision. This webcast will cover the impact of EI competencies such as optimism and resiliency on leadership effectiveness. If you're a leader who wants to tap your talent's passions and coach them to high performance, or if you have responsibility for leadership development, this webcast is for you!
Don't miss these webcast take aways:
How to re-frame "leadership" as "relationship"
Five effective leadership practices
Tap your talent's strengths by matching challenge with skill
Nurture a culture of optimism, energy and coaching others to high performance
