Non-Profit Organizations
Talent management in the not-for-profit sector is often characterized by high turnover; very restricted compensation and incentive vehicles, chronic resource restraints, a mix of full-time, part-time and volunteer talent, government regulation, board issues, the interests of donors, etc. Moreover, nonprofits often do not have dedicated HR resources. Due to ongoing immediate crises faced by many not-for-profits, it is more difficult to plan ahead. Traditional remedies and talent best practices are often irrelevant. This learning track will address talent management problems and solutions specific to the not-for-profit sector.
