A Recruiter's Day: Boot the PC. Log in to the ATS. Run a Boolean search on the net. Check the HRIS for a new hire. Review background check results online. Skim resumes from job board agent. Read email. Make some cold calls and track in the CRM. Schedule interviews on hiring managers' calendars. Coffee break- it's 10am!

ATS, HRIS, Boolean, CRM, phew. Do employers want one system for everything? Maybe they want separate, customizable entities that talk to each other? We know that systems perform actions with less error than humans, but we can't trust robots to make the hiring decisions, yet. Where is the middle ground?

Is there technology available to automate processes where appropriate and still be candidate-friendly? In this learning track we'll explore the tools and technologies available to talent management professionals to streamline and personalize the acquisition process.

Recruiting technology has focused primarily on improving system automation: screening resumes, funneling candidates and tracking compliance data. No one would disagree that those processes aren't necessary or valuable. In a job-seeker's market, however, a feature that is just as important for your acquisition software to possess is the ability to show candidates love.

It isn't all just about warm and fuzzy. Mystery shop your own organization's career portal or application interface and see just how off-putting or encouraging it would be if you were applying for a job at your organization. Try submitting a resume to your database and examine the auto-reply and ask the question: would I want to work here? In this webcast we'll discuss the innovations in the scope of recruitment technology to improve candidate communication, responsiveness and drive better quality of hire.
